Brief history
It was on a specific day in 1970 when a group of persons from neighboring villages- Fingua, Nizbarala, Katla, Bharegaon, Kaharpara, Katala Pathar, Amdah- assembled and decided to form a high school at the premise of Fingua-Barala Middle English School. That was the germination of Paka High School.
Surya Kanta Das, Ramakanta Das, Tangkeswar Das and Ratneswar Das donated 6 Bigha land for the high school in december 1970. On 1st January 1971, Ramoram Membor of Nizbarala village opened the door of Paka High English School after performing Naam Prasanga (pious rituals). Regular classes were commenced form 2nd December.
The school was provincialised in 1985 and became a center for HSCL Exam in 1987. In 1993, higher secondary section was recognized and since then Paka Higher Secondary School has come into existence and been functioning successfully.
